Privacy Policy

Ngajimore DBA (“we”) provides ngajimore.com and the Ngajimore app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the website, app, and related services. Descriptions of app features apply when those features are available on your device and you use them. Contact support@ngajimore.com with privacy questions. Badibi Studio LLC is in formation; its formation is pending.
At a glance
- Recitation analysis and voice recordings stay on your device; recordings are not sent to our servers for analysis.
- Prayer times, qibla direction, alarms, and most learning progress are calculated or stored on your device. You can manage iCloud sync in the app.
- Accounts, mosque directory submissions, purchases, support, and nearby mosque search can send the specific information described below.
- We do not run behavioral advertising, sell personal information, or use worship activity to target ads.
Website information
If you sign up for launch news, we store your email address, selected language, the part of the site where you signed up, the signup time, and any campaign parameters in your link. We use this information to request email confirmation and, only after confirmation, send owner-approved release campaigns. We record consent, confirmation, delivery, bounce, complaint and unsubscribe status. Every campaign includes an unsubscribe link; opting out stops future campaign attempts. Minimal suppression records remain to prevent accidental resubscription. Ask support@ngajimore.com for deletion. Email-list consent is separate from your app account. Your language choice is also stored locally in your browser. We do not install third-party advertising trackers or email open pixels and do not rewrite links for click tracking.
Website and security providers may process technical request data, such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and access time, to deliver pages and prevent abuse.
Roadmap community
Participation is for people aged 18 or older using a verified shared Ngajimore account. We store your age confirmation, policy version, and confirmation time; we do not ask for your date of birth. This is a self-declaration, not age verification. Your chosen display name, ideas, comments, and any Premium badge you choose to show are public. Your email address is private. Avoid posting personal or sensitive information. We process votes and account identifiers to enforce one vote per account. The owner can see aggregate Premium demand recorded when votes are cast; individual voter identities and Premium demand counts are not published. Owner passkey registration stores a public credential and verification metadata, not biometric data.
Website login uses essential secure session cookies and has a maximum 30-minute session. Account deletion removes your community profile, votes, comments, and credentials, and removes your authorship and content from ideas while preserving other people's contributions. A minimal deletion marker prevents account data from being recreated. Moderation restrictions are retained during an active account; after deletion they expire 90 days from when community deletion is first durably recorded. Community reports and owner audit records expire 90 days after creation. Database expiry cleanup is asynchronous, so physical removal may follow the expiry time.
Private website support conversations store the subject, messages, chosen display name, timestamps, and read/open status. Only the account holder and a passkey-verified owner can read them. They are retained while the account is active and removed with account deletion, including staff responses. In-app reply notifications contain event references, not message bodies, and expire after 90 days. No community notification emails are sent. Do not send passwords or sign-in tokens in messages.
App information
- Optional account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the provider identifier and email address you share, and store an account ID, verification status, sessions, a general device label, app version, and account settings. An account is not required to read the Qur'an or use basic worship tools.
- Recitation and progress. Microphone permission is used during a recitation session. Voice processing happens on your device. Personal notes and voice recordings are not sent to Ngajimore servers. Memorization progress can sync through your iCloud account; if you choose to share a portfolio, summaries of memorized passages, review schedules, and word statistics are sent to our servers. A teacher connected to a booking can see that portfolio only after you share it.
- Location. With your permission, location is used on your device for prayer times, qibla direction, and alarms. A nearby mosque search can send latitude and longitude rounded to five decimal places to our service. The directory feature does not link that request to your account. Map searches may also use Apple Maps under Apple's terms.
- Community contributions. If you submit a mosque listing, schedule correction, event, source, report, or block, we process the submission, supporting sources, review status, and account or security identifiers needed for the feature. Approved material, such as place or event details, may appear publicly with community attribution; private evidence and review notes are not published as raw submissions.
- Purchases and support. Apple processes in-app payments. We may receive transaction proof and entitlement history to provide or restore Premium. If you contact support or send feedback, we receive your message, reply address, app/device details you include, and images you choose to attach. Your profile photo stays on your device unless you deliberately send it as an attachment.
Use of a religious app can reveal religious interests or beliefs. We handle this information carefully and do not use it for personalized advertising.
Device permissions and your choices
Microphone, location, camera, photos, notifications, alarms, and calendar access are used only for features you choose. You can change permissions in your device settings; turning them off may limit the related features. You can manage iCloud sync and portfolio sharing in the app. Information in your personal iCloud account is also governed by Apple's policy and your Apple settings.
Purposes and recipients
We process information to provide requested features, secure accounts and services, moderate contributions, answer support requests, handle purchases, and meet legal obligations. Providers that help us include Apple (App Store, iCloud, Maps), Apple or Google for sign-in, and Amazon Web Services for hosting, databases, identity, and email delivery. They receive information needed for their services and have their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law or needed to protect users and the service. Information may be processed outside the country where you live.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed for these purposes, until you request deletion, or as required for security, transaction records, and law. App account sessions have a maximum 30-day lifetime. When you delete your account in the app, sessions are revoked, contact information is cleared, and related contributions are removed from public display. Cleanup at identity providers may finish in stages. Certain audit, security, transaction, and backup records may remain for operational or legal needs. We use access controls and technical safeguards, but no system is entirely risk-free.
Your rights and requests
You may request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of personal information we hold, and withdraw optional choices, through support@ngajimore.com. You can also delete an account in the app; see the account deletion steps. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If you believe our response is inadequate, you may contact the relevant data protection authority under applicable law.
Children and changes
If you are a parent or guardian and learn that a child provided personal information without required permission, contact us so we can address it. We may update this policy when features or processing change. The current version and effective date will appear here; we will give appropriate notice of material changes.
